Renewing an Interlibary Loan

Page history last edited by Erin 10 mos ago

You can renew your interlibary loans and check to make sure it has been done yourself.  In order to do this, from the library's webpage you need to:

  • Click on MnPALS
  • Click on Your Borrowing Record in the top, right corner
  • Enter your library card number (on the back of your student ID: 20219XXXXXXXXX) and password (your last name)
  • Scroll down to ILL Active Requests and click on the orange number
  • Scroll to select the number that corresponds with the book you would like to renew
  • Select Renew on the bottom left of the screen
  • You will see the following response. "Renewal Request - Check Later for new due date" (This means that your request did go through, but you will have to log in at a later time to find the new due date.  The lending library determines whether or not it's renewed as well as the new due date.)

To check that it has gone through:

Log in to Your Borrowing Record and scroll down to the ILL Active Requests link again.  Click on the orange number to the right, then verify that your request has gone through.  You may have to give the request up to a day to take effect.
